Culture Trip, SOHO in SOCO, SXSW 2019

SXSW is known for breaking some of the biggest brands in tech, and this year’s no different.

Case in point, Culture Trip. This UK tech darling has amassed a seriously impressive global audience thanks to killer stories and creativity that uncover what’s awesome about a city and its culture for users.

This year, Culture Trip is poised to break out in the States. Kicking it off at SXSW, they’re taking over the iconic Austin Motel for a full three days. Anchored by a showing of their first original film The Soul of Soho on the night of Saturday, March 9, they’re bringing Soho vibes to SoCo with a space reimagined as your go-to hub for planning, meeting, and — of course — partying.

Daytime fun includes a Recharge Room (CBD facial anyone?), an always-on meeting space for plotting your next move or partnership, networking events and panels curated by Austin’s own Chelsea Francis and Boss Babes, and more. And did we mention the open bar, bites, and poolside games?

Each night, the space will be transformed to represent the three best-known Sohos in the world: New York, Hong Kong, and London. After the film’s watch party, you can take in the London club vibes with a dance party featuring DJ Paul Sethi. On night two, Hong Kong meets Austin in an HK-style night market packed with some of Austin’s best designers. It all leads up to night three, when the New York house comes DOWN with an epic game of Drag Bingo hosted by none other than Bob the Drag Queen and Manila Luzon from “RuPaul’s Drag Race”.

RSVPs will fill up fast, so get yourself on the list right here!
