Mideau - "Way With Words" | Music 2014 | SXSW

March 6, 2014
Mideau (pronounced "Mid-doh") is the work of Spencer J. Harrison and Libbie Linton. The name of the band itself is constructed from two word fragments that together loosely translate to "middle of the water" - a concept that resonates as equal parts serene and unnerving. Recorded with visionary producer Nate Pyfer (Kaskade, The Moth & The Flame) and audio engineers Scott Wiley (Neon Trees) and Mike Roskelley (Kaskade, Late Night Alumni), Way with Words EP is a four-song sneak-peek into the band's sound. The EP title track, "Way with Words," has already been featured in television and film including the Fox Searchlight 2013 sleeper hit, Enough Said, starring James Gandolfini and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Mideau is, in many respects, a bold blend of two unexpected halves. With catchy melodies countered by cinematic orchestration and cerebral lyricism, Mideau is a meeting of the familiar with the unexplored.
