Workshops Highlights Covering App Development, Virtual Reality, Politics, and More for SXSW 2018

March 8, 2018 Chris Tobon

Workshops offer registrants an opportunity to get some hands on and in-depth experience in different topics and skills. Whether you are looking to learn about something new or build your knowledge on a particular area of interest, these workshops are a great learning opportunity for registrants and will be held from Friday, March 9 – Wednesday, March 14. Some time slots are still open to RSVP for these compelling workshops, so act fast.

“I love the Workshop programming because it allows attendees to get a more personal, interactive experience with speakers than a panel or dual session for example,” said SXSW Programmer Chloe Quakenbush. “Instead of staying quiet in a dark room listening to people talk and then maybe/maybe not getting your question answered at the end, Workshops create a more open environment for people to bounce ideas off each other, get their questions answered in real time and create a dialogue, collaborate with other attendees, and generate new ideas.”

Advance sign-up is required to attend any of our workshops and sign-up is still available. Access is limited Primary badge type; Convergence Track workshops are open to all badge types. From avoiding tax pitfalls for startups to building virtual environments, check out our Workshop highlights below and browse the full list of 2018 Workshops on the online schedule – sign in to RSVP by session.
