Road To Austin, chronicles how Austin, Texas became the 'Live Music Capital of the World', from 1835 to present day. This feature length documentary builds to a climax as the story--line weaves its way towards an all-star live performance featuring Kris Kristofferson, Bonnie Raitt, Delbert McClinton, Eric Johnson, Ian McLagan, Joe Ely, and 40 other Artists led by Musical Director, Stephen Bruton and his 14-piece band! This film is a 75-minute adaptation featuring a documentary and an 8-song except from the 3-hour concert. Kris Kristofferson dedicates this film to Stephen Bruton who his battle to cancer in 2009. Stephen Bruton served as Kris's guitar player and closest friend for 40 years.
